Boring

I'm starting to realize that I live a boring life. I get up, spend 15-30 minutes online in the morning, shower, eat, and go to work. I work 8-5, go home, put my comfies on, eat, and then scrap or play Halo2. Sometimes we go shopping during the week and of course have to do laundry. The major cleaning gets done on the weekends, with other stuff sprinkled in. How boring is that?

We aren't exciting are we?

Even through we are boring, I'm content with that.

Comments....

I figured out why the comments weren't posting....when I was trying to get my info on the right back up to the top I messed with some settings I shouldn't have! ROFL, Ma, does that surprise you at all???

But I figured out why my info on the right was down at the bottom, it was because my link to the advent calendar was too long. I used a little HTML and made the words clickable, LOL.

You all should be able to post comments now. I had to go back in and "approve" all of the comments that were left.

I also figured out that when you delete a comment it says "Deleted by blog administrator." Sorry Ma...nothing bad, it was just a double comment, so I deleted it, should have left it, ROFL.

And Ma, I say get a Tattoo, you have been wanting one for a long time, I remember when you wanted a hummingbird on your ankle. Just don't get a rose on your breastages, ROFL, you will have a long stemmed rose later on in life, ROFL.

Snow...

Today I'm at work and am working 7:30-4:30.....{LOVE} this shift. Wish I could work it all the time. Jason and I were up at 4:00 a.m. this morning and out the door by 4:30 a.m. to go shopping! We hit up Herberger's, Joann's, Menard's and Target. And we ate breakfast at Perkins. We got some good deals! I went to lunch today over at the Galleria Mall (gotta love the subway, that way you don't have to walk outside at all to get from 1 building to another!) and I realized that it was snowing out!

Seeing the snow swirling around, the cars covered in snow, and people hustling about outside gave me a sense of comfort. Yes, I know thats odd, LOL. I love just watching the snow and looking outside...probably a good thing I don't have a window office, LOL. I should take pictures when I get off of work....now let's see if I remember, I've been having a terrible time remembering things today....

Off to finish my MDX, so I can get some energy back...gotta love those energy drinks on days like this.....

Printers Suck!

I have been trying to print a simple table on vellum for the last 15 minutes. It will not go through for the life of me. I have canceled and deleted the job three times. The vellum would not go through for the life of me! I finally used my tape runner and glued it to a piece of normal white paper. Just finally finished printing. Now lets see how long it will take for the ink to dry. I thought this would be simple......of course not!!!

I really want to start blogging daily again. I was doing it almost daily before, and then just sorta stopped, just had nothing to say.

So today, let's see what's going on here
-Getting sick. Have a sniffley nose and headache that won't go away. Just feel icky all over.
-Need to finish off design team projects for SOT.
-Need to work on SB for the Silent Auction

I also found a really neat advent calendar that I want to try to make. Need to get supplies for that though. I woke up this morning feeling all crafty and wanting to scrap but I had to go to work. Why can't I have a job where I can scrap and craft all day. I would love that. That is my dream.

Jason commented to me this morning that he wants to finish shopping for all of the "up north" people this weekend. I need to get my crap together. I know what were doing for Sue, and I believe mom, but I'm still not too sure on Julie. She wants drawing stuff, and I can't remember what else right now. Dad I have no idea on either. He will probably end up just getting clothes since Ma said that's what he needs. Unless of course, we find something else for him. I'm also really stuck on the Grandparents. G & G Rapp buy everything that they want. I have no ideas at all what to get them...any ideas? G & G Nelson we will probably just do Gift Certificates to a restaurant up there. I'm not positive though. But I think that they would enjoy that.

What's on your wish list of Christmas?

I feel titleless today. No need for a title, especially since I have nothing really to write about. Just a normal boring day around here. Work until 5, and then go home, LOL. Although tonight we have to go to Pearle Vision before we go home. I was in bed reading on Saturday night, and all of a sudden something hit my eye. It was the screw that holds my nose pad in to my glasses. Have to get that fixed. They were closed on Sunday. It was a good thing that I got another pair of glasses for free when I bought my new ones, I can see no much better.

Do you every have one of those days where it's all you can do to get through the day? That's the kind of day I'm having. A blah day. Blah, blah, blah. That is fun to say. And yes, I guess I am random today...

We had a good mail day on Saturday. Jason had his xbox 360 by 9:30 a.m. He won one from the www.every10minutes.com promotion. I really like it. Especially the wireless controllers. That way I don't trip over the cords like I did with the normal xbox, LOL.

I'm going back to my normal blah day.

Silent Auction

This will be the 3rd year at work that our department puts on a Silent Auction. All proceeds that we raise go to United Way and this year will also be split with the Hurricane Relief Fund. I have been involved with this project, since I started here, almost 3 years ago now. We collect new and like items and then for 1 day, during the work hours, people bid on them. Lots of work, but also lots of fun and of course, for a good cause.

Each year, I have made a flyer for this event. I am especially proud of this years flyer, since I downloaded a digital scrapbooking kit and used that to create the flyer. In real life, there is no green blobs, LOL.

I finished it earlier this week, but had to receive approval from the group before posting it around the office. So far, only 1 sign is up on the mail office door. About a week before this, I will plaster the signs all over the building.

So because of this sign, I'm in the holiday spirit. I'm in the mood to wrap presents, and put up our Christmas tree, and am currently listening to Christmas music. I feel so read for Christmas to be here. I've also been making some ornaments. Been having a blast. Because of the ornaments, I'm seriously debating about having a small pink Christmas tree in the house.....Since I know Jason won't go for the full tree to be pink. But I'm thinking one of those fake tabletop, white trees with pink and white ornaments on it. We will see if that really materializes or not, LOL.

Babies, Babies, Babies

Babies seem to be the hot topic around work lately. Within the past year we have had 3 babies born in the department, 1 adopted, and 2 more now on the way. I hate when everyone asks me, when are you going to have a baby? That started right after the wedding...it's been over 2 years now....It's not just people at work either. Jason's family asks as well. I've been saying, eventually.

See, this can be a touchy subject for some people who are TTC (trying to conceive, for those of you who don't know the abbreviation.) Now, this may come as a surprise to some of you, but Jason and I want to be parents, and want to be parents, like yesterday, LOL. Now as most of you know, we are not pregnant yet. Now Jason and I have been trying for quite a while, and still have not had success.

Today there was another announcement that someone else is going to have a baby in the department. The baby is due in March. This person got married a year after us. When I seen the e-mail come through, I wanted to cry. I hate that Jason and I haven't been able to conceive yet. And it's not for lack of trying, LOL. Now don't get me wrong, I am happy for them, but it still makes me sad.

So now, this is not just going to be a woe is me post, at least I hope not, LOL. Since I'm sure that my weight is part of the issue why Jason and I are not able to conceive, I'm going to start watching what I eat, even more so than I have been. I'm also going to ask Jason if we have the extra money for me to start weight watchers. I think that that will help, as well. I want to have children so bad....and looking our for myself is the first step, I guess. So if there are more weight related posts, don't mind them. I think if I can keep track of my progress that will help. I think I'm also going to keep a food journal. Keep track of everything that I put in my mouth, and attempt to figure out how many calories I'm taking in. Anyone have a good website or book recommendation about the number of calories in stuff? I know most have them on the labels, but like fruits and veggies and such. KWIM? Anyone want to join me in this "adventure" to lose weight to be more healthy?

How to get a free supper.....

1. Place order for Large Pepperoni Stuffed Crust Pizza and 10 boneless mild buffalo wings at 5:05 p.m.

2. Told that it would be 45-60 minutes before arrived.

3. Pizza arrives at 6:30 p.m. with boneless honey bbq wings. ICK.

4. Spend 10 minutes trying to get through to Pizza Hut/Wingstreet. Finally get through, ask if I can get boneless mild buffalo wings. Sure, will be about 25 minutes.

5. New wings arrive at 7:15 p.m. The deliver guy has me check to make sure that everything is correct with them. Nope. They are bone in mild wings. He offers to take them back and bring me new ones, correct ones.

6. As soon as deliver guy leaves, pick up phone to call them back. Manage to speak with same person again, 3 times. Explain situation and ask if there is any way I can get our money refunded for the entire order. She says yes, and will still send mild boneless buffalo wings back out. They should be here in about 30-45 minutes. Which would make it about 7:45-8:00 p.m. (Note order was placed at 5:05 p.m.)

Moral of the story: If you are hungry when you get home from work make something. Don't order delivery.

ETA, the rest of the story:
So about 8:00 the delivery person shows up with the money to refund us, but no wings. She said that she was told not to bring wings to me, but would call the store. Surprise, surprise, she couldn't get through because of the annoying as hell automated ordering system, ROFL. She didn't know what to do, but said that she had to go because she had another order. I decide rather than call, to run down there. By 8:20 I was back home, with my mild boneless buffalo wings with ranch, eating and enjoying them.

It was odd, they said that they were busy but yet there were people standing around doing nothing.......interesting.

We don't be ordering from there anytime soon!

So it's been a while since I posted. I know, I'm a bad blogger, but things have been busy around here.

I discovered a couple things this week at work. One is that people enjoy me brining in my new scrapbooking purchases. They like seeing how they work, or what I plan to do with them. They get so excited when I show them something that they can use. This week they oohed and awed over my little Xyron X sticker maker. Also the bone folder. I'm glad that I can show them how things work. It's fun. I also realized that I *love* explaining how things work and how I use them. It really excites me. It makes me want to go home and scrap. Or dig out my scrappin' stuff right then and there to scrap. I *love* it. I wish I could do that all day and make the same amount of money I'm making here. If I had the opportunity to do that, I would in a heartbeat. I *love* it. They also make it so much fun, wanting to know how things work. Wanting to know how I use things. It excites me. Just typing this up makes me want to go home and be creative, dig out all of my supplies, and make a huge mess of paper and end up with a page completed.

Things at work have been busy. Last year we did a bake sale where all proceeds went to United Way. We are doing the same thing this year, and I am one of the main coordinators. The bake sale is tomorrow. All of the signs have been made and posted, I have also made table tent signs as well. All I need to do now is to is to bake something to bring in. Oh, and of course, buy a couple things tomorrow. :) Should be fun, but will make for a busy day. I am looking forward to it. If I think of it, I will post the signs that I made. I think they turned out pretty good myself.

Crop!

I went to the crop last night. I left before 5 and came back home a little after 10. Not bad! It was a lot of fun There was only 6 people there, and we had a blast. I actually did get a lot accomplished. My 50 Christmas cards are cut adn the presents are inked and aheared to the cards. All of the bows I had are also clued on the cards. Now all I have to do are put Happy Holidays or some other saying on them, write on the insides and address the envelopes and they are done. YAY!

Jennifer also took my altered comp book to put on display. WHOO HOO! I even offered to make another one since there were a couple of oops on there, but she said don't worry about it. YAY! Sweet! Hopefully this pic isn't too big.

Now I have to figure out what to do for some November projects. :)

Today Jason and I are heading to his folks, to give Haley her birthday present and to see all the kids. No clue how long we are staying as Joe and Kara have to bring Matthew back to his other grandparents. It sounded like they were leaving around noon to do that. Who knows. Joe also says he has some money to start to pay us off, whoo hooo!

Then we are going grocery shopping. Cub has a coupon this week for buying 1 turkey get 1 free with an additional $15 purchase. Should be easy to do that! I guess that means I just have to figure out how to cook a turkey and do a Thanksgivingy type meal....wish me luck I will need it!!

I better go and get dressed and do my hair. Jason is chomping at the bit and I don't think a bathrobe would be good to go in!

Backstreet Boys

Yes, I just said Backstreet Boys. I love them. I have all of their CD's and even the Nick Carter's solo album. Like I said I love them. Ma even took Katie and I took Last Chance Summer Dance when we were in highschool. The BSB were supposed to be there to perform, but Howie's grandma died and Nick missed his flight so they couldn't perform the the AJ, Brian, and Kevin. Yes, I still remember that, LOL. So anyway, since they weren't there to perform, they came back to the cities for a make up concert. Ma took us to that too. (Isn't she the best???) That was AMAZING. Katie and I were freaking out and screaming and singing along. It was awesome.

Anyway, so your wondering why I'm posting about the BSB right? Well, even if your not, you will find out anyway, lol.

I was surfing on 2peas and came across a thread with BSB in the title. Of course I had to open it, lol. It contained a link to this video. http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-6739710473912337648&q=chinese You need to go and watch it now. The entire movie. Freaking hilarious. I'm laughing here at work. Good thing no one is around.

Watching that made me want to listen to my BSB CD's again. I think I'm going to lug them all into work tomorrow to listen to.

I've been reading blogs for a while now. Most of them talk about their daily doings, new things that they found, and about their kids. I got to thinking about why I started blogging. I guess I just wanted a place to share my daily doings to, even if I'm boring. :) I've been trying to think about things that I like about other blogs and seeing if I can make mine more interesting. But then I came back to, who cares if it's interesting, it's me. I bet your thinking, I knew it was all about you, lol. I won't go into that again, but you know, I like my pretty pink blog and my boring life. It's good to me. I'm not going to change it. Now back to my daily doings, lol.

Since my co-worker is gone this week, I've been working the early shift. 7:30-4:30. I love this shift. I'm up early enough anyway and I get so much more done that first half hour in the office when no one is around. It is amazing. I still can't believe how much slower the evening goes when I'm done at 4:30. That extra half hour makes such a big difference. Love it. More time to spend with Jason. :)

Last night for supper I made turkey enchiladas. They were delicious. We've made them before, but bought a different seasoning packet or something, but they were better than usual. They were so moist and yummy. I brought one to work today to have for lunch. It was still moist. I wonder if I could make up a big batch of them and freeze....hmmm...might have to try that.

Jason and I haven't done the OAMC (Once a month cooking) yet. I want to though. Perfect for those nights that neither of us want to cook and we don't know what to have, lol. We have been making large batches of stuff though. Right now we have lasagna and chili in the freeze. I've also really been wanting some of Mom's homemade chicken noodle soup with the homemade noodles. That soup is to die for. The best ever. A while back when we were up at Ma's house she cooked a turkey breast in the crockpot. It was delicious! Jason wants me to do that here soon. I wish I was a good cook like Ma. I want to be like Ma when I grow up. She is amazing.

I'm actually going to my first crop this weekend. I'm sorta anxious about it. I've never been to a crop before. Granted this isn't a "normal" crop, it's an after hours crop at Scraps of Time (my fav LSS!) for design team members and such. So little me, is going to be in with all of these amazing scrappers. See, I'm not that talented when it comes to LO's. I decorate/alter things good, but LO's really challenge me. I'm also a simple scrapper, but am starting to branch out more and try new techniques. One thing that I never thought I would get into is inking. Now I love inking. I will ink just about anything, or at least try to. Of course I'm snobby and will only use the Tim Holtz ink pads, LOL. Good thing they come in a wide variety of colors and are routinely 1/2 off at Hobby Lobby. :) So I need to decide what I'm going to bring to do at the crop. I'm also anxious about small talk and such. I'm more of a listener than a chatter. But once you get to know me watch out, when in the mood I can talk your ear off, lol. I suck at small talk. I'm hoping that it goes well, but I've almost called a couple times to tell Jennifer that I won't come. But I haven't. And I won't. I'm determined to go and have fun. Even if I just sit back and watch. I need find something to bring to do though...hmm....off to ponder.

Picture Frames

The crafting hour actually went very well! The frames were a chipboard type frame that was made for altering. She got them at M's for $2.99 each. They worked out perfect and I'm going to have to buy me some of these to alter.

Now she could only find 1 set of volleyball stickers and she got 3 packages of each to use for all of the frames. We didnt' use them all, even if it looks like we did. ;)

She was VERY happy with them and the girls were VERY surprised that they got these. So in the end it turned out very well!

Do you ever...

Open your mouth and volunteer to do something and then you wonder why you did that? Happened to me today in fact.

My co-worker today was in a frantic search for a volleyball picture frame that she needs tomorrow. She was thinking that they would be easy to find. Told me the places that she called and asked if I could think of any more. I gave her a couple and none of the places had them. Of course you can find them online, but then they wouldn't be here in time. She needs it tomorrow night.

So I open my mouth, knowing that she isn't crafty at all, and say, well you could get a wood frame at Michael's, and alter it with a volleyball theme. As soon as I said it, I knew I was going to regret it. She started asking questions and such and before I knew it I was volunteering to help make one for her daughter Amanda. Now we are making 7 for all of the seniors on the volleyball team. I'm sending her to hobby lobby to pick up everything, frames, stickers, whatever she wants. They also want to put all of the girls names on the frames, so rub on's as well. Figuring it would be easier to do rub ons rather than stickers, because they want the first and last names, plus the numbers.

So tomorrow during my lunch hour I will be making altered picture frames, with someone who is self proclaimed as "not crafty." Now, keep I have never altered one myself. Should be interesting. I know in the end it will be fun, but I have no clue how we are oging to get 7 frames done in an hour.

I really need to change my pic that is up there. I don't like it anymore, LOL. I guess I change my mind fast huh? Maybe I will just put the color one up there, the full color one that is.

I'm not feeling too well today. All I want to do is go home, have a cup of hot tea and crawl into bed and sleep.

I need to work on my effer dare. I think it just might be routine to do them the night before.

I have so many things that I need to do. I haven't felt creative lately. How do I get out of this funk?

I'm seriously thinking about turning down the offer to sell my paint cans at the LSS up north.

1. I need to buy a table.
2. None of my currently finished 18 paint cans will work. (At least 90% of the materials used need to be from the store...thus #3.)
3. I would have to buy all new paper.
4. The paper there doesn't really inspire me.
5. I would either have to rent the space or give them a percentage of the sales. (I'm thinking that they were leaning more towards me renting the space.)
6. I'm not up to making 18 new cans when my site STILL isn't finished.
7. I have too much on my plate right now.

Now I completely understand #2 and #5, don't get me wrong, they need to be benefited somehow as well, but I don't think it's worth my time or effort either. I don't know. I will have to ponder. I wonder if this decision has something to do with my creativity being lost....

Sunday Morning

This morning it's a little chilly in the house. I'm sitting here sipping my Wild Sweet Orange Tea by Tazo. LOVE this tea. I actually was reading the package this morning while my water heated up and it says that it would be as iced tea as well. Just might have to try that.

Today Jason and I are hopefully going to paint the garage. It's probably one of the last nice weekends that we will have so it needs to get done. Of course I'm up and Jason is still sleeping. How does that work???

Other than that, I need to work on effer dare #11. That will be fun as well. Getting back to scrapping again. I'm really loving the 8.5 by 11 style. Might have to keep playing with that and seeing if I want to stick with it or not. Time will tell. Good thing is I have albums for both sizes, lol.

Hobby Lobby once again has some good sales this week. Hopefully we have some spare cash for me to go and get stuff at 50% off. Payday is Tuesday and can't come fast enough.

Me.

You know, most of my life I have tried to be to be the person that everyone wants me to be and to try to fit in. You know what, I'm so done with it. I'm going to try to be ME. This may sound odd to some, but who gives a flying fuck. (I've been waiting to use that term, ROFL. I think it's hilarous.)

Since getting married over 2 years ago, I've started to become more of me. I'm not a hugely social person and that is ok. I'm finally coming to the realization of that. Yes there are some things that I want to improve about me, and I will work on those. Ya know, this is sounding almost like a New Years resolution a few months early, ROFL.
