Unfinished Project....Now Finished!!!

It only took me 5 years. There's a bit of history behind this blanket. Way back in 2003 Jason choose the fabric for a fleece tie blanket that I was supposed to make him for Christmas of 2003. Our first Christmas together as a married couple. I never got to it that year, I think I was busy making a scrapbook of Cassidy for Janell and Kris, but I'm not positive.

Anyway the fabric got moved upstairs and I soon forgot about it. Jason would give me a hard time every now and then about if he would ever get his fleece blanket. This summer I came across the fabric again and moved it down to my scrapbooking room. I was going to get it done and wrap it up and put it under the Christmas tree as a present for Jason. Well it didn't quite get done. I sat down and got it done on New Years Eve. I can't tell you how awesome it is to have it done after all these years!

Now I'm waiting for Jason to finish making my wedding present. ;)

Self-Portrait A Day Layouts

This is how I am doing my self-portrait a day scrapbook pages. Anywhere from 1-4 pictures on an 8.5 by 11 page, mounted onto black cardstock to go into a 12x12 scrapbook album.

PLEASE go to my Flickr account {Link: http://flickr.com/photos/gamerbabe360/sets/72157608692782207/} to view my description of these AND to view other detail close-up shots.

{Make & Take Layout}

This was a make & take at the retreat I went to. Simple, but I LOVE the colors and the paper. I wasn't fond of the paper to being with, but after playing with it, I love it!

{Music Layout}

I am in love with this picture of Susan. It is just so her. I really struggled with this layout. I'm still not sure that I love the layout though. Anyone have any constructive criticism for this one?

I am in love with the bird stamp set I used here! It's "Birds Galore" by Inkadinkado. I am using it a lot. LOVE the birds and owls. I stamped the birds on green cardstock with pink ink and then cut it out by hand. Used pop dots to add dimension to it.

The strip that you see here under "Music" is a Bazzil strip. LOVING those as well!

I made the journaling spot! I was so proud of myself, LOL, though I don't know why since it's so easy to do. Brackets are once again Quickutz and then I just made the lines and did the journaling. I still need to add the date of when the picture was taken to the layout. Must not forget that.

I inked the edges of the black border with white ink. I so need a white ink pad. I LOVE this look. Flourishes were cut from my Quickutz.

Oh and a layout of Julie is in the works. It's all planned out in my head, just haven't had the time to scrapbook it yet.

True Love Layout

I had a ton of fun with this layout of Jason and I. So bright and fun. The paper is the new American Crafts line.

I cut the hearts out using the Quickutz Revolution, and of course inked the edges. For my title here, I added the word "True" to make my title "True Love" I really liked how it looked.

Used some Bazzill Strips here on the edge of the picture frame, so to speak, torn edges and used a staple to adhere them. Also notice the brown buttons for added dimension.

The chipboard heart I added Stickles on to make it glittery. LOVE my Stickles and glitter.

{Final Ms. La Tete Outfit}

The local scrapbook store has a doll called Ms. La Tete, which is the store mascot. I offered to do an outfit for Ms. La Tete for the retreat. I chose the category "Outstanding Outfit" and this is what I came up with.

.Creating.

I was scrapbooking tonight at home, and realized how much I enjoy creating.  I'm wondering if it's feasible to scrapbook or do something creative for at least 1 hour a day.  Granted when I'm working 10 hour shifts, it won't happen.  But what if I go for something like 3-5 days of the week.   Something to think about.   I really feel like I'm in a groove creating and need to do it more.  My room is all organized and keeps inviting me to play.   Speaking of which I haven't shared anything scrappy have I?  Maybe soon I will.

Ms. La Tete

I don't remember if I posted this on here or not, but my casual wear outfit won in the Ms. La Tete contest at the local scrapbook store. At the tradeshow CHA, one of the industry designers Heidi Grace doodled on the shoes!!! How cute are they??? I don't know if I get to keep the shoes, but if I get them back I am so framing them and putting them in my scrapbook room!
