Random memory
I was talking Christmas songs on Mama Central and then I diverted the conversation as I am so good at.
Growing up in the evenings we used to sit on the deck at Grandma and Grandpa's house and watch for the deer to come out. Grandpa had me convinced that the deer would never come out unless we had Conway Twitty music playing on the tape deck. I never caught on that it was the same time every evening, the deer could hear the music and that is what made them come out. Too funny.
There was another song that I don't know, but it had to do with a church and mouse that Grandpa nad I liked. Something about Sunday mornings, I do believe. Need to remember that.
I remember the "Thistlehair the Christmas Bear" song by Alabama too. I wish I could find that somewhere to download. One of my favs. I need that song again.

Reflection
Looking back at my middle and high school years isn't a good thing for me. I hated school and my life back then. I was teased and bullied for everything under the sun, but mainly my weight and hair. (I wonder if that's why I hate my hair so much now?) I was shy and hated talking in front of people and tried to make myself as invisible as I could to not be seen.
I've been reading Susan and Julie's blogs lately. Well whenever they post, Julie hasn't posted much, but Susan does just about every day. Both girlies have been though a lot and have been bullied, especially Susan. But she is different than me. She stands up for herself and doesn't try to be invisible. I wish I were more like her.
I also envy the both girls style. I wish I were closer to their age and could experiment with my hair and makeup and clothes like they do. I really feel that that look is me, but what kind of 25 year old woman dresses like that. Maybe I shouldn't care. Maybe I'm still trying to be invisible like I was in school. Maybe it's time to step out of my shell a bit.

Shampoo
As most of you know, I love to coupon shop. If I can get something for free or very cheap, I'm thrilled. In order to get these deals, you can't really be brand loyal. There are a few brands that I prefer, but I'm not willing to pay full price for them.
A while back I seen a bottle of Pert Plus plus that had a mail in rebate form, plus I had a coupon. Of course I bought it. When I finally got around to using the bottle of Pert, it brought back memories.
The smell of it took me back to being a kid, washing my hair over the sink or in the shower. I completely forgot that Ma used to buy Pert Plus while we were younger. Since it was a two in one shampoo, it was easier for us and only required one washing.
I thought it was funny how a little bottle of shampoo brought back memories.
