Kittehs!

No matter how old Cullen is I still call him a Kitteh. He will have his 2 year birthday in June. I can't believe we have had him over a year now! He is part of the family. Now you noticed that my post was titled Kittehs! with an s. Cullen has a friend called Noodle that is staying with us for a while. Both cats have been adjusting great together and it's so fun to see them interact, especially when they think no one is watching. There have been so many cute things that I haven't managed to capture on my camera. Here are a few cute pictures.

If you want to see any of the pictures larger, you can view them on my Flickr account.

Descriptions are going to be directly below the pictures. :)

Time for treats! Both cats love the treats. Though we had some Pounce ones and Noodle wouldn't eat them, but Cullen used to. Now that Noodle won't, Cullen won't either. It's too funny!

Jason has them eating out of both hands!

Window Buddies! They both LOVE looking out the windows, watching the birds and the people. Now they share the window together. Or should I say that Cullen hogs 90% of the window sill and lets Noodle sit on a small piece of it? Still so cute though!

Cullen saying, "Talk to the paw!"

This was the first time that we had seen them curled up next to one another! Isn't it precious? Now they sleep next to each other often. I still think it's so adorable!

Noodle sniffing the treat bag. He would put his paw and nose in the bag to try and get the treats out. I thought it was so adorable!

Don't mind the mess in the picture, my scrapbook room needs lots of helping getting clean right now...want to come over and help? Pretty please? Ok, fine...anyway one day we couldn't find Noodle, he wasn't in any of his usual hiding spots. Here he was in my scrapbook room, sleeping on top of my backdrops in a bag! He loves it there for some odd reason!

Another close up of Noodle sleeping on the backdrop bag...

Cullen: "REALLY? You gotta take my picture when I look like this?"

Noodle sleeping in the window. When he sleeps in the window, this is how he sleeps. Head in the corner and everything. Oh and that is one of Noodle's favorite toys there. He carries that toy with him all over the place!

Cullen watching the birds.

I had Jason set up the Kitty City again. It was a great idea as both cats love it and play with it! Cullen loves to be in that little compartment there.

Cullen watching everything going on outside.

Noodle being all cute and laying in a sun spot!

This picture cracks me up. First you have to know that Cullen has his claws and Noodle is de-clawed on his front paws. Noodle goes up everything and rubs his paws on it, like he is sharpening them. On the couch, the laundry basket, the scratching post, everything. He doesn't leave any marks though as he is de-clawed. It's so funny to Jason and I, because Cullen doesn't do that at all! On anything! Cullen has never used the scratching posts on the Kitty City, but man Noodle loves them! I think Cullen is looking at Noodle in the picture and thinking, "What in the world are you doing?!"

Day 12

Day 12 As soon as I come home from work I get into my comfy clothes. I turned around and on the couch were Jason and Cullen. Of course I had to grab my camera. This is a common sight around our house. Isn't it sweet?

Day 1

Cullen has taken to sleeping with us at night and sleeping on our bed today. I was hoping to get a shot of him actually sleeping, but instead he woke up and yawned. Oh and I will do my best to not make my 365 all of Cullen. :)

I never thought I would be one of *those* moms.

First, let me clarify, no I'm not pregnant. (I wish.) But I'm referring to being a mom to Cullen.

Now let me set the stage. I've seen those Dog Halloween costumes, and thought why in the world would people buy those. Poor dogs. I seen the little Santa Hats for cats and wondered why they would torture the poor kitty with a hat like that. I swore up and down that if I ever had a pet I would NOT dress him up.

Never say Never.

Jason and I were wandering around Target, which we do often. Since we can't hardly ever leave the store without a toy for Cullen, we always check out the pet stuff. Coming around a corner I see an endcap display of the cutest things ever!!! There were little Santa outfits, little Elf outfits, and even a Reindeer outfit! ALL FOR CATS!!! You should have heard me. I squeed when I seen them. Jason thought I was nuts. But they were all so darn cute!!! I just had to pick one up for Cullen right away, just in case they sold out! It would be a shame if we didn't dress Cullen up in one of those, right?!?! And of course when I seen them, all of the thoughts about never buying one of them went away.

So behold the most adorable elf outfit EVER for a cat.

Now since Cullen is such a chubster, sadly the scarf doesn't fit him. And I don't think I dare try to put those cute little elf boots on him since he has all of his claws.

BUT we tried the hat on him tonight. Oh my word was he adorable!!! I even made Jason take a quick picture. Then once I let him go, he was a headbanging kitteh and had the hat off in 2.2 seconds.

Before you ask, no I am not going to post the picture of him, as we are going to use the hat in our Christmas Card photo this year. I can't wait to see! I hope that it turns out as cute as it is in my head. :)

The moral of the story is that never say you will never be one of those moms. You will be. No matter what you think.

Special Delivery?

Perfect gift in my opinion!

Love that cat.

Cullen {Cat in a bag}

Cullen still cracks us up. We are so lucky to have him and we love him so much. He is such a funny cat and his antics crack us up daily. One of his quirks is that he loves reuseable bags. At first we thought that it was one in particular (My green Quickutz bag) but that's not the case as you can see here.

He is an odd cat, and he does fit right in with Jason and I. :)

Simple Joy Sunday

Heather at CoolZebras hosts a Simple Joy Sunday and this is my first time participating in it. Since I had random pictures that make me happy, I thought it was perfect.

A nice bunch of daisies that Jason and I seen on a walk.

A cute new pair of summer shoes that I got on sale!

Cullen peeking out the window when we are outside. I just love that cat.

Obsessed with water?

Growing up I had a black cat named Sambo. I have the cutest picture of me in huge bubble bath with bubbles on my head and Sambo sitting on the edge of the tub batting at the bubbles and playing in the water. I need to find that picture and scan it in. I think I might have it or it's at Ma's house....anyway!

Cullen is fascinated by the bathroom. In the morning after I shower, before I can even dry off, he is in the bathtub. It's so funny! If I close the shower curtain completely, he sits and meows until I open it up so he can hop on in.

I love this picture of him, he is so cute. Almost reminds me of Puss in Boots from Shrek when he is pouting.

In this next picture, please don't look at the state of our tub/shower as we have really hard water and it hasn't gotten a really good scrubbing for a while. Cullen is obsessed with drinking water that drips from the faucet! He will sit in there and drink it as it comes out. It's so funny. And yes, his water dish is full, we make sure of that.

The other night I took a bubblebath and Cullen was fascinated. I didn't have Jason grab the camera until all the bubbles were gone though. I know bad kitteh mommy. But by the time I was done in the tub, Cullen's paws were soaked and I was sure he was going to jump on in. He didn't, but I think he was really thinking about it!!!

This is where he sat most of the time watching me in the tub.

Cullen and Toys.

Jason and Cullen have are forming a great relationship around cat toys. Jason loves to tease Cullen and make him jump around and play. It's so much fun watching them!

But first, here are some pictures of Cullen and one of his favorite toy fishes. This one Jessi made for him! Cullen loves the 'nip.

Here are some pictures of Jason and Cullen playing. :)

Cullen thinking, I'm such a cool cat. He doesn't like the orange light that my camera makes before the flash goes off and closes his eyes like this. So cute!

And some other random Cullen pictures. :)

Cullen on the computer

Well maybe, on my lap. :)

Cullen really likes it on my lap. If the laptop is actually on my lap he tries to push it off, and if the laptop is sitting in front of me, he doesn't like it when I type. He also likes to walk on the keyboard, which I am trying to discourage before my new laptop arrives. But it's so cute!!!

Cullen's Antics

Since I know that you all are waiting with bated breath to hear all about Cullen some more, I thought I would share some!

He seems to be adjusting well. He is eating and drinking and using his litter box. Today he FINALLY ate a treat and wanted more. Before the treats would have to sit out for a long time and he would just lick it, leave it, then come back and lick it again. This morning he ate one out of my hand and wanted another one. I wonder how long it will be before he knows the sound of the treat jar.

Cullen and Jason get along great! They play and really seem to enjoy each other. Since Jason works overnights, Cullen gets some playtime in then. It will be interesting to see what Cullen does during the day when I am back to part time.

I have a little nest on the couch. I always sit on the same end, and have my laptop there to use. Cullen has decided that he doesn't like the laptop on my lap. He belongs there instead. He also doesn't like it when I type, even one handed when he is on my lap. Both hands belong on him and petting him. I am so owned by the kitteh. :) Speaking of being on my lap, before he would jump up there and stay there for about 2-3 minutes before hopping off. Last night he was on there for a good half hour to 45 minutes before jumping down. It was so relaxing to have him there.

Jason discovered that Cullen can open the bathroom door! The door doesn't close all the way when I have clothes hanging there drying. Cullen can just stick his paw under the door and pull the door open.

I swear he has a fascination with the bathroom. At first he didn't like the sound of water at all. Now he doesn't seem to mind it too much. Yesterday morning after my shower, he was in the bathroom meowing and I thought it was because the shower curtain was closed (it usually is) and he didn't like that. I opened it part way and he jumped right into the bathtub. Whenever we are in the bathroom or if the bathroom door is open, Cullen is in the bathtub exploring in there. Unless a drop of water lands on him, then he goes tearing out of the bathroom. I don't know why he likes that so much.

Last night I took a bubble bath and Cullen hung out in the bathroom most of the time and almost seemed like he wanted to jump right in! He kept getting up on his hind legs and peeking into the tub. He kept almost touching the bubbles and water, but never did.

Cullen is a hoot when you play with him. He jumps all over the place and loves his toys. Specifically anything with catnip in them! (Of course, he is a cat after all). He is starting to play with his toys on his own as well. He loves to tear around from one end of the house to another. You can tell when he does that since the rugs are all askew. He definitely has some personality. Love that about him.

I do have some more pictures on my camera that I need to get uploaded and share. Don't fret, you will see more of him!!

Introducing Cullen

Cullen is our new cat that we got approximately an hour and a half ago.  He was born in June of 2008.  He is just adorable. :)

Here he is on our way home with us!

The first thing he did when we got home was get of the carrier and start exploring. So far he likes the living room the best. He is a bit scared when we get up and move, but he seems to be adjusting fast.

I think that this corner is going to be his favorite hiding spot. It's between the wall and the big couch.

Look at his long whiskers! Aren't they just adorable?

Cullen and a few of his toys.

Jason playing with Cullen.

I'm sure there will be many, many, many new pictures to come. :)

At about a noon today he was already jumping up on my lap and purring. He doesn't stay there long, just enough to get a few kitteh scratches in. :)
