Crazy

Have you ever felt so busy that you feel like you will never get caught up? That's now I feel right now. And I truly don't have that much going on. It's crazy. And I don't like it.

I gotta do my design team projects.

Prep for my class at the end of the month.

We still have our Christmas Tree up. That needs to come down.

Work with Nick on the Scrappy-Chic website.

Mod Podge Kim's paint can.

And in the midst of all of this, I want to get rid of stuff. I want to simplify. I want to be free of all of these things weighing me down. I want to toss crap that we don't need. This should be fun. I feel overwhelmed. This will pass and I will simplify.

On top of all of that, guess what dumb thing I did today.

Did ya guess yet?

How about now?

Well, you should have!

I was opening a supply box at work, using scissors and somehow managed to cut my finger! Bleeding and everything. Now I have a band-aid on my finger and it feels funny typing. I drew blood and I wasn't even scrapbooking! Gosh, freakin' idiot!

Challenges!

This is Sheila's challenge! What a fun one, LOL.

~~5 Wierd Habits~~

1. Sometimes, I can't talk and get all tounge tied. For instance, i was talking to Jason last night and said Seat Heeking instead of Heat Seeking, LOL. I've done this so many times, ROFL.

2. The very first thing I look at when I get up is Scrappy Chic. Usually the last thing before I go to bed, but not always, depends on what I'm doing.

3. In order to fall asleep, I have to rub my feet together in a circular motion. Used to drive Jason crazy...now I think he's used to it, LOL. I also twirl my hair around my finger when I'm tired. Used to do that when I was little and I still do, LOL.

4. I talk with my hands. I have a very hard time talking if Jason is holding my hand. He once told me to sit on my hands to try to talk. Couldn't do it, LOL. I also tend to pace when I talk on the phone. Or I'm always doing soemthing else like doodling, or something. I can't just talk on the phone.

5. I hate walking over man hole covers, or gates of any kind. Or if there is a metal covering on the floor or outside, I won't walk on it. They just freak me out!

How's that for werid??? Hope you guys will still be my friend, LOL.

Now I'm also challenging you to post about 5 funny things that you have done or said. LOL, after this you all will think I'm even more nuts, LOL.

~~5 funnies about me!~~

1. I once walked into a glass door. Jason thought I was kidding and said that it looked like something out of a movie. I thought that the door was automatic and would open for me....I busted up laughing right after it happened. Jason was worried that I was hurt, I wasn't, LOL.

2. When Ma, Dad, and I were driving somewhere, I was amazed at the size of the cornfield. I said, in utter amazement, "There's a lot of corn in that field over there." Mom and dad started cracking up and said yea, that's cuz it's a cornfield, LOL.

3. I was drivng in the car with Jason, Sue, Julie, and Ma. I was following a grater and asked, "Sooo....is it okay to pass this." In my defense, I was thinking that it was like a snowplow that you shouldn't pass, LOL. They still tease me about that one!!!

4. I meant to say, Big Black Smoke Cloud and it came out, "Big-bak-moke-coud." You should have seen the look that Jason gave me. It was one of those what-the-hell-are-you-trying-to-say looks.

5. Me on Christmas Eve. 'Nuff said.

Another Christmas Challenge

1. Growing up at home, we each got at least 1 ornament each year. When we packed the tree away we each got our own box. When we put the tree up, we each got to put up our box of ornaments. When I moved out of the house, Ma gave me my box of ornaments. I love putting them up on the tree. Full of memories!! Jason and I continue to carry this tradition.

2. There has only been 1 year that we have not had a real Christmas tree. Usually we get a Charlie Brown Christmas Tree, but this year, we got a beautiful nice full Christmas tree.

3. I remember getting up on Christmas morning, and seeing my cabbage patch highchair sitting in front of the Christmas tree. I think that was my favorite gift that year.

4. I remember getting a Tea Set when I was 12 or 13 and was thinking that the gift must have been Susan's because I was too old for plastic tea set. I was going to tell Grandma Gladys and then Jodi opened the same gift, so I knew it was for me. I was disappointed because Grandma Gladys gave really cool gifts.

5. Jason and I don't suprise each other on Chrimstas. We know what we are getting eachother. We haven't done stockings yet, and I don't know if we will or not. If we do, that might not be a surprise either!

6. I'm feeling stressed because I'm not done wrapping presents and Christmas is this weekend.

7. I second guess a ton of gifts I buy for people. I don't want to come across as cheap or gift them a gift that will end up in the White Elephant pile.

8. I don't like to give gift cards as gifts. I would much rather buy people a gift. Jason used to buy everyone a Best Buy gift card for Christmas, but now I think he enjoys shopping for actual gifts.

Scrappy Chic is down...

Jason was installing a mod for me and something went wrong, LOL. We need a sessions table in the database and it isn't there. Jason is working on trying to fix it, but it might take a while...he hopes to have it up this morning before he goes to sleep, but he's not having any luck so far....

I need my Scrappy Chic fix....

I don't know many e-mails, but thought I would post on my blog, incase you are wondering what is going on...hopefully the board will be up soon!

22

On one of the many other blogs that I read, they posted a list of random facts and tid bits about themself...so I'm copying and doing the same. Hope someone else copies me, ROFL. Oh, and I first put 23 up at the top then realized that I'm only 22, DUH. I'm such a dork.

  1. I'm 22 years old...which I can't seem to remember
  2. I love mexican food.
  3. I either fall asleep watching TV or reading my book each night.
  4. I love that Jason opens the doors for me wherever we go...even simply opening the door for me to get out of the car. Love it. Isn't he the best?
  5. Jason is 9 years older than me. (And yes, I lovingly call him my old man, LOL.)
  6. I wanted to put the Christmas tree up in November.
  7. I collect recipe books, but don't seem to use them.
  8. I'm not that good of a cook....but I try!
  9. People tell me I'm so organzied, but I don't think I am...I need help, LOL.
  10. I tend to buy things or request samples and then every use them.
  11. I'm the youngest person in my area at work. Most people could me my mom/dad or grandma/grandpa and have kids or grandkids my age.
  12. I need to lose weight, but keep doing nothing about it.
  13. I love watching the snow fall, and taking pictures of it, but I had driving in it, and shoveling in it and everything else about it.
  14. Jason and I got 99% of all places together and he drives. People think it's wierd that he goes to the scrappin' store with me, but he sees things I don't, LOL.
  15. I don't have any real life friends that live nearby me. And I don't mind.
  16. I can drink iced tea at any meal, and love it with breakfast.
  17. Even though I've donated blood before, I'm a little freaked out about donating again. Nothing bad happened, just freaked, LOL.
  18. I'm loving the color pink. I want a cute pink purse. I have a pink cup that I use at work and love it. But I use a purple pen to write at work. How does that work?
  19. When I'm tired, I get crabby, snarky, whiney, and pouty, LOL.
  20. I enjoy writing in my blog even though I tend to say nothing, LOL.
  21. Halo2 is what I play most nights/weekends, when I'm not scrapping.
  22. I haven't wrapped 1 Christmas present yet.

That was fairly easy.....might have to do this again!

Here it is!

Journaling Prompts?

I'm looking for a site that has a question of the day, or like a journaling prompt of the day. Something to go with the seasons and such.....like for December, Christmas themed ones....oh and I want a free one....LOL. Demanding aren't I? Anyone have any ideas???? Please...I'm begging here.............................

Ornaments

Here are the Christmas Ornaments that I decorated up a bit.

First one is Let it Snow...I used the Heidi Swapp Corner Rub on's and just cut the Let it Snow out. I also put a little bit of that fake snow in there as well, since I thought it looked too plain.

This next one is also an ornament. I took one of the wooden Chatterbox frames printed a picture to go in it, attached fun fur to hang it, put paper over the back and cut off the brad fasteners and used the brads to decorate it. I also use Making Memories Rub Ons to add sisters to the frame.

This third ornament, I cut strips of 12 by 12 paper, I believe it was the Reminensce Brand (Shimmery, like KI paper) in half and then in half again, curled them around a pen, and twisted them to make them more curly and filled the ornament with them.

This last one is my favorite so far....I filled the ball with Fun Fur (got glass in my finger while doing it), and added the Heidi Swapp Tape to the Outside. {LOVE} This one.

I also have 1 more that I did that I haven't take pictures of yet. Will post that as soon as I take pictures. It is done! Also I realized that the pictures just do not do the ornaments justice....they look better in person.....

Boring

I'm starting to realize that I live a boring life. I get up, spend 15-30 minutes online in the morning, shower, eat, and go to work. I work 8-5, go home, put my comfies on, eat, and then scrap or play Halo2. Sometimes we go shopping during the week and of course have to do laundry. The major cleaning gets done on the weekends, with other stuff sprinkled in. How boring is that?

We aren't exciting are we?

Even through we are boring, I'm content with that.

Comments....

I figured out why the comments weren't posting....when I was trying to get my info on the right back up to the top I messed with some settings I shouldn't have! ROFL, Ma, does that surprise you at all???

But I figured out why my info on the right was down at the bottom, it was because my link to the advent calendar was too long. I used a little HTML and made the words clickable, LOL.

You all should be able to post comments now. I had to go back in and "approve" all of the comments that were left.

I also figured out that when you delete a comment it says "Deleted by blog administrator." Sorry Ma...nothing bad, it was just a double comment, so I deleted it, should have left it, ROFL.

And Ma, I say get a Tattoo, you have been wanting one for a long time, I remember when you wanted a hummingbird on your ankle. Just don't get a rose on your breastages, ROFL, you will have a long stemmed rose later on in life, ROFL.

How did the shopping with Timmi go??

Snow...

Today I'm at work and am working 7:30-4:30.....{LOVE} this shift. Wish I could work it all the time. Jason and I were up at 4:00 a.m. this morning and out the door by 4:30 a.m. to go shopping! We hit up Herberger's, Joann's, Menard's and Target. And we ate breakfast at Perkins. We got some good deals! I went to lunch today over at the Galleria Mall (gotta love the subway, that way you don't have to walk outside at all to get from 1 building to another!) and I realized that it was snowing out!

Seeing the snow swirling around, the cars covered in snow, and people hustling about outside gave me a sense of comfort. Yes, I know thats odd, LOL. I love just watching the snow and looking outside...probably a good thing I don't have a window office, LOL. I should take pictures when I get off of work....now let's see if I remember, I've been having a terrible time remembering things today....

Off to finish my MDX, so I can get some energy back...gotta love those energy drinks on days like this.....

Advent Calendar

Here is the much anticipated link to the advent calendar that has been giving me so much grief. Advent Calendar

Now, I already made ornaments similar to that one, but that was before I even say that link! I'm also in {love} with the garland! Want to try that as well. I need to work on Christmas stuff all year round, ROFL.

Any other creative ideas for Christmasy things??

Amber :)

Printers Suck!

I have been trying to print a simple table on vellum for the last 15 minutes. It will not go through for the life of me. I have canceled and deleted the job three times. The vellum would not go through for the life of me! I finally used my tape runner and glued it to a piece of normal white paper. Just finally finished printing. Now lets see how long it will take for the ink to dry. I thought this would be simple......of course not!!!

I really want to start blogging daily again. I was doing it almost daily before, and then just sorta stopped, just had nothing to say.

So today, let's see what's going on here
-Getting sick. Have a sniffley nose and headache that won't go away. Just feel icky all over.
-Need to finish off design team projects for SOT.
-Need to work on SB for the Silent Auction

I also found a really neat advent calendar that I want to try to make. Need to get supplies for that though. I woke up this morning feeling all crafty and wanting to scrap but I had to go to work. Why can't I have a job where I can scrap and craft all day. I would love that. That is my dream.

Jason commented to me this morning that he wants to finish shopping for all of the "up north" people this weekend. I need to get my crap together. I know what were doing for Sue, and I believe mom, but I'm still not too sure on Julie. She wants drawing stuff, and I can't remember what else right now. Dad I have no idea on either. He will probably end up just getting clothes since Ma said that's what he needs. Unless of course, we find something else for him. I'm also really stuck on the Grandparents. G & G Rapp buy everything that they want. I have no ideas at all what to get them...any ideas? G & G Nelson we will probably just do Gift Certificates to a restaurant up there. I'm not positive though. But I think that they would enjoy that.

What's on your wish list of Christmas?

Monday, November 21, 2005

I feel titleless today. No need for a title, especially since I have nothing really to write about. Just a normal boring day around here. Work until 5, and then go home, LOL. Although tonight we have to go to Pearle Vision before we go home. I was in bed reading on Saturday night, and all of a sudden something hit my eye. It was the screw that holds my nose pad in to my glasses. Have to get that fixed. They were closed on Sunday. It was a good thing that I got another pair of glasses for free when I bought my new ones, I can see no much better.

Do you every have one of those days where it's all you can do to get through the day? That's the kind of day I'm having. A blah day. Blah, blah, blah. That is fun to say. And yes, I guess I am random today...

We had a good mail day on Saturday. Jason had his xbox 360 by 9:30 a.m. He won one from the www.every10minutes.com promotion. I really like it. Especially the wireless controllers. That way I don't trip over the cords like I did with the normal xbox, LOL.

I'm going back to my normal blah day.

Silent Auction

This will be the 3rd year at work that our department puts on a Silent Auction. All proceeds that we raise go to United Way and this year will also be split with the Hurricane Relief Fund. I have been involved with this project, since I started here, almost 3 years ago now. We collect new and like items and then for 1 day, during the work hours, people bid on them. Lots of work, but also lots of fun and of course, for a good cause.

Each year, I have made a flyer for this event. I am especially proud of this years flyer, since I downloaded a digital scrapbooking kit and used that to create the flyer. In real life, there is no green blobs, LOL.

I finished it earlier this week, but had to receive approval from the group before posting it around the office. So far, only 1 sign is up on the mail office door. About a week before this, I will plaster the signs all over the building.

So because of this sign, I'm in the holiday spirit. I'm in the mood to wrap presents, and put up our Christmas tree, and am currently listening to Christmas music. I feel so read for Christmas to be here. I've also been making some ornaments. Been having a blast. Because of the ornaments, I'm seriously debating about having a small pink Christmas tree in the house.....Since I know Jason won't go for the full tree to be pink. But I'm thinking one of those fake tabletop, white trees with pink and white ornaments on it. We will see if that really materializes or not, LOL.

Babies, Babies, Babies

Babies seem to be the hot topic around work lately. Within the past year we have had 3 babies born in the department, 1 adopted, and 2 more now on the way. I hate when everyone asks me, when are you going to have a baby? That started right after the wedding...it's been over 2 years now....It's not just people at work either. Jason's family asks as well. I've been saying, eventually.

See, this can be a touchy subject for some people who are TTC (trying to conceive, for those of you who don't know the abbreviation.) Now, this may come as a surprise to some of you, but Jason and I want to be parents, and want to be parents, like yesterday, LOL. Now as most of you know, we are not pregnant yet. Now Jason and I have been trying for quite a while, and still have not had success.

Today there was another announcement that someone else is going to have a baby in the department. The baby is due in March. This person got married a year after us. When I seen the e-mail come through, I wanted to cry. I hate that Jason and I haven't been able to conceive yet. And it's not for lack of trying, LOL. Now don't get me wrong, I am happy for them, but it still makes me sad.

So now, this is not just going to be a woe is me post, at least I hope not, LOL. Since I'm sure that my weight is part of the issue why Jason and I are not able to conceive, I'm going to start watching what I eat, even more so than I have been. I'm also going to ask Jason if we have the extra money for me to start weight watchers. I think that that will help, as well. I want to have children so bad....and looking our for myself is the first step, I guess. So if there are more weight related posts, don't mind them. I think if I can keep track of my progress that will help. I think I'm also going to keep a food journal. Keep track of everything that I put in my mouth, and attempt to figure out how many calories I'm taking in. Anyone have a good website or book recommendation about the number of calories in stuff? I know most have them on the labels, but like fruits and veggies and such. KWIM? Anyone want to join me in this "adventure" to lose weight to be more healthy?

How to get a free supper.....

1. Place order for Large Pepperoni Stuffed Crust Pizza and 10 boneless mild buffalo wings at 5:05 p.m.

2. Told that it would be 45-60 minutes before arrived.

3. Pizza arrives at 6:30 p.m. with boneless honey bbq wings. ICK.

4. Spend 10 minutes trying to get through to Pizza Hut/Wingstreet. Finally get through, ask if I can get boneless mild buffalo wings. Sure, will be about 25 minutes.

5. New wings arrive at 7:15 p.m. The deliver guy has me check to make sure that everything is correct with them. Nope. They are bone in mild wings. He offers to take them back and bring me new ones, correct ones.

6. As soon as deliver guy leaves, pick up phone to call them back. Manage to speak with same person again, 3 times. Explain situation and ask if there is any way I can get our money refunded for the entire order. She says yes, and will still send mild boneless buffalo wings back out. They should be here in about 30-45 minutes. Which would make it about 7:45-8:00 p.m. (Note order was placed at 5:05 p.m.)

Moral of the story: If you are hungry when you get home from work make something. Don't order delivery.

ETA, the rest of the story:
So about 8:00 the delivery person shows up with the money to refund us, but no wings. She said that she was told not to bring wings to me, but would call the store. Surprise, surprise, she couldn't get through because of the annoying as hell automated ordering system, ROFL. She didn't know what to do, but said that she had to go because she had another order. I decide rather than call, to run down there. By 8:20 I was back home, with my mild boneless buffalo wings with ranch, eating and enjoying them.

It was odd, they said that they were busy but yet there were people standing around doing nothing.......interesting.

We don't be ordering from there anytime soon!
