Best Therapy

In my opinion the beset therapy *EVER* is scrapbooking, being creative with your music *CRANKED* up as loud as you can. Singing along with the songs, just being creative.

I just got done spending almost 4 hours in my scrapbooking room. It was heaven. Though I only got 2 pages done, 6 pictures scrapped, but I love them.

Speaking of pictures and such, what I have been scrapbooking is my self-portraits. Would anyone be interested in seeing pictures of what I have done so far?

I'm in my happy place tonight.

This is I often sit at my desk at work. One foot up under me the other dangling down. Perfectly comfortable position.

You can see the white salt on my one shoe. I'm so ready for winter to be over.

Making hamburger buns for supper. Yes, I cheated and used the bread machine for the dough. You have to really flatten them out otherwise they turn out HUGE after you let them rise and bake.

My Version of the Clip It Up

This is my version of the Clip it up. My desk space is valuable, and I just don't have room for the clip it up. Plus I found it so expensive! I wanted a shelf in my scrapbook room anyway, and I added the long rod underneath the shelf and then the S type hooks for the product. Everything is from IKEA.

I really like the S hooks as I can add more than one item on there. I plan on going through more of my stuff and adding it on there. I can fit a bunch more on there! I didn't alter the hooks like many others have either.

The CD cases up on top of the shelf are my stamps. I have the ends of the cases labeled so I know what is in them.

I've been playing around in PSE some, and found a free B&W Action that I used on this picture. But of course, I wasn't done there. I did a convert to black & white, upped the intesity all the way and chose the more contrast option and LOVE the results. I think this is my favorite picture so far.

Now for the real description of this picture. My aunt told me about Everyday Minerals, a make-up company. I tried the Mary Kay mineral powder makeup was and greatly disappointed. This is my first foray into mineral makeup, and I have two other shades to try to see what one fits me better. Usually I retouch my pictures a bit, but because of the make-up there was no retouching other than cropping and re-sizing.

I'm standing here in the kitchen chopping up potatoes for make ahead Mashed Potatoes. I can't wait to get rid of the ugly carpet on the floor! Who in the world puts carpet on the floor in a kitchen anyway?!?!
