Day 305

Happy Halloween! Today for the Scrapbook Crop at RSC, I dressed up as a Cowgirl. We all had a blast!

And here are all of us!
Terry, Jessi, Jenny, Amber A., and Amber S.

I can't wait to try this technique! Stapling Ribbon for a border. Doesn't this look cool? Amber E. tried it at RSC tonight and I want to!

Self-Portrait A Day Layouts

This is how I am doing my self-portrait a day scrapbook pages. Anywhere from 1-4 pictures on an 8.5 by 11 page, mounted onto black cardstock to go into a 12x12 scrapbook album.

PLEASE go to my Flickr account {Link: http://flickr.com/photos/gamerbabe360/sets/72157608692782207/} to view my description of these AND to view other detail close-up shots.

{Make & Take Layout}

This was a make & take at the retreat I went to. Simple, but I LOVE the colors and the paper. I wasn't fond of the paper to being with, but after playing with it, I love it!

If you want to view the pictures larger, check out the set on my Flickr account. Here is the link: http://flickr.com/photos/gamerbabe360/sets/72157608692782207/

{Music Layout}

I am in love with this picture of Susan. It is just so her. I really struggled with this layout. I'm still not sure that I love the layout though. Anyone have any constructive criticism for this one?

I am in love with the bird stamp set I used here! It's "Birds Galore" by Inkadinkado. I am using it a lot. LOVE the birds and owls. I stamped the birds on green cardstock with pink ink and then cut it out by hand. Used pop dots to add dimension to it.

The strip that you see here under "Music" is a Bazzil strip. LOVING those as well!

I made the journaling spot! I was so proud of myself, LOL, though I don't know why since it's so easy to do. Brackets are once again Quickutz and then I just made the lines and did the journaling. I still need to add the date of when the picture was taken to the layout. Must not forget that.

I inked the edges of the black border with white ink. I so need a white ink pad. I LOVE this look. Flourishes were cut from my Quickutz.

Oh and a layout of Julie is in the works. It's all planned out in my head, just haven't had the time to scrapbook it yet.

True Love Layout

I had a ton of fun with this layout of Jason and I. So bright and fun. The paper is the new American Crafts line.

I cut the hearts out using the Quickutz Revolution, and of course inked the edges. For my title here, I added the word "True" to make my title "True Love" I really liked how it looked.

Used some Bazzill Strips here on the edge of the picture frame, so to speak, torn edges and used a staple to adhere them. Also notice the brown buttons for added dimension.

The chipboard heart I added Stickles on to make it glittery. LOVE my Stickles and glitter.

Day 304 {Natural Light}

Day 304

Outside today after taking pictures of the scrapbook layouts I completed at the retreat. I like to take the pictures outside because of the natural light. Of course I always seem to choose the day that it's windy and I'm always fighting with the wind! Oh and I'm wearing my comfy Halo Hoodie.

Day 303 {Elevator}

Day 303

In an elevator at work. I look awful here, but right after I took this pic, other people came on and I was embarrassed to be messing with my camera in an elevator, LOL.

Behind

Yup, I'm behind on updating my blog again! I hope to be all caught up by Friday or Saturday! Watch out for the barrage of posts!!

Sorry for the delay in updates. I went to a scrapbooking reatreat Friday-Sunday and that is part of why I'm so behind.

Day 302 {Foot Rub}

Day 302

I love it when I sit on the couch and Jason just starts rubbing my feet. Such a treat for me. Don't look close at my toes, I realize that they are badly in need of a new polish.

Day 301 {Before Bed}

Day 301

Day 300! {First Snow!}

Day 300

First snow of the year! Some rain and snow mix on Sunday. Plus is was so windy! It was great fun packing all my crap in the car after the retreat, LOL.

Day 299 {Friends!} + more retreat pics!

Day 299

I met Jessi at a crop at RSC and here we are together at the retreat! Jessi is hilarious and so much fun to be around.

On Friday night, late at night, a buffalo head fell down off the wall and landed on poor Ms. La Tete. The noise was so loud and we thought at first that someone fell down the stairs. It was so freaky!

The next day, Buffalo Bob as we called him, ended up on Nancy's chair (Nancy owns RSC with her daughter Anna) with Ms. La Tete hanging off of him. He even wore a name tag so he could get a prize!

Did you know that too much laughing causes pain? I know that!

At the retreat late at night we thought it was hilarious that Jenny (the one on the right) sent Christmas cards twice to some people one year. We were all laughing so hard. Soon Jessi (on the left) started to say, "It Hurts!, It Hurts!" So much fun!

Day 298 {Ms. La Tete & I} + Bonus picture!

Day 298

Here is Ms. La Tete and I at the weekend long scrapbooking retreat hosted by RSC! Ms. La Tete is wearing the outfit I created for her.

And Ms. La Tete!

Day 297 {Bed Time!}

Day 297

Heading to bed at 11:30ish at night before the crop on Friday. Need to get some sleep so I can stay up late!

Day 296 {Quirk #82}

Another of my quirks is that as soon as I pick up my pictures I sit in the car and go through them.

After picking up todays pictures, I am done with Sam's Club. Will be sticking with ProEx from now on. More expensive, but worth it.

Dumer by the minute

I swear I'm getting dumber by the minute listening to "40 Bumbest Celeb Quotes Ever" on VH1.  I usually don't have TV on this late, and now I know why.

Though I am getting some giggles out of it.

Day 295 {Feet}

Day 295

Another quick shot before crawling into bed. Didn't feel like a face shot today. Just my feet and all of the quilts in the background.

Day 294 {Reading}

Day 294

Once again all cozy in bed under a bunch of quilts/blankets and reading my book. Perfect way to relax before falling asleep.

I wonder how many book shots I've done. Probably lots.

Call me crazy...

But when a song comes on from Guitar Hero III on Itunes or on the radio, I feel like I should be playing Guitar Hero.  Gah! LOL.

"Talk Dirty to Me" just came on and now I want to play Guitar Hero, LOL.

Old Posts!

I am FINALLY all caught up on posting my self-portraits of the day.  Since I date those to the day they are taken, you may want to scroll back to October 16 to see them.

I am loving being caught up again!  This has been on my to-do list for what seems like forever, even though it hasn't been that long. :)

Oh and Jessi, I will do a blog post soon on ChaCha or will talk to you about it at the retreat!

30 Days of Nothing Update

So far Jason and I are doing good in ouir 30 Days of Nothing, though I do have a huge stock up list of things to buy when we have a bit of extra cash.  It seems like this time of year we are running out of everything.

Last Friday, October 17, I did spend $5 to go and crop at the Scrapbook Store, and that wasn't necessary.  But it was one of the cheap Friday $5 crops and after being sick all week I was itching to get out of the house.  The good thing is though that I managed to not buy a thing!!  For me that is HUGE!

Though I know that this weekend at the Scrapbooking Retreat I'm going to, I'm going to not do good.  But that's ok.   I'm really pleased with how this is going and how it is changing my thinking.  I am loving the not bringing things into the house!!!

How true is that?

Day 293 {Play-Doh}

Day 293

True confession: I love Play-Doh. If someone gave me Play-Doh for a gift, I would be ecstatic!!! It's one of those things that I loved as a kid and still do. Call be crazy, but Play-Doh even smells good and it's so much fun to play with.

{Final Ms. La Tete Outfit}

The local scrapbook store has a doll called Ms. La Tete, which is the store mascot. I offered to do an outfit for Ms. La Tete for the retreat. I chose the category "Outstanding Outfit" and this is what I came up with.

Day 292 {"You Look Good in my Shirt"}

Day 292

In the fall and winter I love wearing Jason's long sleeve shirts since they are so warm and comfy. Plus they are his. This was the first time I put on of his shirts on this year and he said, "You look in my shirt" referring to the song by Keith Urban. It was so cute.

"You Look Good In My Shirt."
By: Keith Urban

When you walked up behind me and covered my eyes
And whispered in my ear, guess who
I rattled off names like I really didn't know
But all along I knew it was you

And, the longer we talked, the more we laughed
And wondered why we didn't last
It had been a long time, but later last night
Baby, we caught up real fast

And maybe it's a little too early
To know if this is gonna work
All I know is you're sure looking
Good in my shirt
That's right
You look good in my shirt

Well now I'm not saying that we solved overnight
Every way that we went wrong
Oh, but what I'm seeing I'd sure love seeing
Every morning from now on

And maybe it's a little too early
To know if this is gonna work
All I know is you're sure looking
Good in my shirt

C'mon now
Aww that's right
Oh you look so fine

And maybe it's a little too early
To know if this is gonna work
All I know is you're sure looking
Good in my shirt

And maybe it's a little too early
To know if this is gonna work
All I know is you're sure looking
Good in my shirt
You look good in my shirt
You look good in my shirt

Funny, or at least I think it was.

So tonight I'm answering ChaCha questions. Giving out the weather, addresses, and of course all the sex questions. I got a question tonight that asked "What should I do right now?" I replied, "Try not to think about penguins. Need more ideas? Ask ChaCha! Thanks for using ChaCha!" I thought it was funny. At least I'm having fun answering questions. :)

Oh and if anyone wants more info about ChaCha, either send me an email or comment here with your email addy and I can get you info and I would love for you to be on my team!

Day 290 {Guilty Pleasure} and Bonus Picture

Day 290

One of my guilty pleasures is cookie dough. I just love the taste of it. So yummy.

And now a bonus picture!

This is the view from the 17th Floor of the Gonda building at Mayo Clinic. I love the fall colors, but the picture didn't capture them as good as I hoped. I need to get better at taking pictures through class.
